I have recently inherited an Old Original Cast Iron Sheffield Street Lamp (Gas, 1920s I think!!) It is Blue/Gray in colour, 115 inch high with a copper head measuring 34inch high. It has been converted so that it runs on electricity with a standard light bulb. I have no room or time to mount this in my back garden so I need to sell it. My question is: How much is it worth? The cast iron post has the usual corroded areas were the paint has started to fall off and the copper head was broken during transportation i.e. the glass was broken and the four struts which hold the glass in place have been detached from the main head but everything is there it just needs putting back together again, when erected next.
I look forward to your comments and I should be taking some pictures of it soon should anyone be interested. I am based in Sheffield. Thank You.
Craig.

Hi Craig,
These guys are the experts – the UK street lighting group. Also they may well be interested in buying, as there are some collectors there, so you might wish to join up.

Howdy!

Something I stumbled across which is both amusing and perhaps relevant – Chinese (mainly) lamp post manufactures:
